Story of Civilization Ancient at Amazon Kuhikugu

The Last Expedition

On 29 April 1925 Fawcett was still in contact with his wife through the telegraph, he said he would enter a closed area of civilization in the Amazon jungle, he will cross the upper Xingu river in the southeastern Amazon tributary.
And since then no news heard again from them. Matto Grosso is the name of the Xingu region in the vicinity of the river where they disappear.
Many who thought they were killed by local Indians, Tribe Kalapalos one of the last three Indian tribes who met with them said that they looked like being sick.
There is no corroborating evidence of murder by ethnic Indians that they entered its territory. For Indian tribes in the area of Matto Grosso friendly enough, except Indians eastward.

In 1927 a plate Fawcett's name was found on one of the other Indian tribes, but this plate was given directly by the Fawcett expedition to the head of the tribe in the previous 5 years.
And in June 1933, Colonel Aniceto Botelho find a property Compass Fawcett in the region of Mato Grosso near settlements Bacairy Indian Tribe.
And the results of the investigation said that the trip into the Amazon jungle began after the compass was left in the settlement Bacairy. Maybe he was stopped by dipemukiman, the point into the forest and to be hosted by the tribe Bacairy and compass that you forgot he was carrying.

Meeting with Other Explorers

In a book I read (The Fate of Colonel Fawcett), there are two other explorers who had met in the interior Amazon Fawcett, Fawcett is said to live for five years with the Indians.
He collects various kinds of stone with a younger and another slightly older. Tom Roch first adventurer who discovered them in 1931 in the region of Matto Grosso.
And one was Miguel Trucchi. To Miguel, Fawcett said he has a special reason to stay and settle with the Indian tribes inland, but their location was not met in Matto Grosso on the Rio das Mortes but.

And in July 1933, An Apostolic Administrator in the Matto Grosso named Monseigneur Couturon send a note when it travels through Kuluene River whose contents mention that they met three people who fit with the character traits Fawcett team in 1932, reported it was written live and settle Fawcett The Indians along Aruvudu. Jack Fawcett junior had married Indian women and had a boy.

But in 2005 another story appeared, a writer from The New Yorker , David Grann visiting indian tribe Kalapalos and get the story by word of mouth that, Fawcett and his team stayed with them for a while and continue the journey to the east.
Interest Kalapalos also remind them not to enter the civilization they are looking east directed, because the area is guarded by Indian tribes who likes to attack.
Five days sepeninggalan Fawcett eastward bumbungan smoke seen rising from their camp. All that was witnessed by the tribe Kalapalos. The full story on the search trail Fawcett wrote in the book The Lost City of Z.

Kuhikugu Civilizations and the Lost City of Z

Well, our quest began. Kuhiguku is a relic of the past site of an Indian civilization in the Amazon rain forest, located in the southeast of the upper Xingu river, Brazil. What is unique to this site, almost all of the write by Portuguese explorers in Manuscript 512 is similar to this site.

512 manuscripts tell the big gate to the town houses surrounded by large and there are temples in it, the mysterious town without residents who have magnificent plaza, fountain pools and wide streets.
Anyone would be amazed amazed if you see the shape of a magnificent city that has never seen at all.
Well how about Kuhiguku site? Site was first discovered by Michael Heckenberger with local tribes Kuikuro which is a descendant of the tribe Kuhikugu.
The site is located in the Upper Xingu River, a twenty-eight towns and villages in an area of 7700 square km which can accommodate 50,000 residents. Civilization is estimated to have inhabited since 1,500 years back about 400 years ago.
Many trenches large palisade was built around the settlement, has several circular plaza area of 150 m in several cities. Cities and settlements Kuhikugu are connected by wide roads, rivers regulated side of the highway with pedestrian bridges that can be traversed by canoe canoes beneath.
The people living with farming, they also build dams and fish ponds. And the tradition is still passed on fish breed by Tribe Kuikuro who inherited the tradition of their predecessors tribe, civilization Kuhikugu.

This civilization began abandoned in the early 16th century, when European explorers arrived and settled in their settlements with the plague.
Nearly two-thirds of the population died from this plague, and the city was engulfed by thick Amazonian jungle, until rediscovered by Portuguese explorers in 1743 and was named City of Z by Percy Harrison Fawcett.
Well if you could compare the picture of the mysterious town of 512 manuscripts with Civilization Kuhikugu same location? Upper Xingu river is the region of Matto Grosso, has much in common with Portuguese explorers encountered the city in 1743.
